Relays
The original RIB® line of pre-packaged, multi-purpose relays. Our relays come in 10, 20 and 30 Amp varieties and an extensive range of coil voltages. Common features include an LED indicator, transient protection, and an option closed-open-auto switch. Most models are available either enclosed or track/panel mountable.
Wireless Devices
Functional Devices, Inc. offers many devices to provide our customers with short range EnOcean enabled wireless solutions as well as much longer-range solutions provided by combination AIC/RIB I/O boards.
EnOcean enabled wireless relay receivers in both 120 and 277 Vac models work in conjunction with many devices such as wireless wall switches and one way transmitters that are activated by the output of a BAS or Lighting controller. Look to Functional Devices to be on the cutting edge of wireless solutions in the near future with additions to our product line. Wireless occupancy sensors, two-way wireless transceivers, wireless current sensors, and current sensor/relay combination devices along with other specialty devices are just a short list of products on the horizon.
Current Sensors
The X Series contains current sensors with or without a 10 or 20 Amp relay. An internal 10 Amp relay can be used to activate an external contactor, and currents up to 150 Amps are sensed externally with a Solid or Split current sensing ring. Other units control and sense up to 20 Amp loads, without the use of an external current ring, greatly reducing installation time. Models are available with fixed, or adjustable current sensing trigger points, or with voltage out. Externally visible LEDs indicate the status of the relay coil and current sensor trigger. The (Closed-Open-Auto) override switch, available on certain models, is a true override switch located on the load side of the relay.
X Series models have been packaged to save the installer the time, trouble and expense of buying separate components (current sensor, relay, LED indicator, socket, mounting rail and housing) and assembling them on the job or at the shop. The class 2 wiring compartment of the T Style eliminates the need for a "J"" box.
Power Control
Our power control centers have been pre-packaged to include two 120 Vac grounded convenience outlets as well as a 10 Amp switch / circuit breaker for controlling the output power. The outlets can be continuously powered or controlled by the switch / circuit breaker. Other styles of power control units are also available.
Power Supplies
Our power supplies include one or two transformers pre-packaged in a metal enclosure and intended for mounting in the enclosure of the user's choice. The transformers are available in 40VA, 75VA, and 100VA. A switch / circuit breaker is provided for each transformer and on "B10" models a switch / circuit breaker is present for controlling power for the entire unit. An LED indicates the presence of 24 Vac on the Class 2 terminals on the outside of the enclosure, or wires on the inside. An internal high-voltage wiring compartment and two 120 Vac grounded convenience outlets are provided on most models. Each power supply series is available with a number of various options. (Panel Style Power Supplies are also available)
Transformers
Transformers ranging from 20VA to 375VA are foot or hub mounted. They are available with single or dual threaded hubs. Some are foot mounted only. All are UL Listed or Recognized, and many are Class II. Several transformers are provided with a circuit breaker. Most transformers feature pigtail wires and are step-down to 24 Vac. 24 Vac to 24Vac isolation and step-down to 120 Vac are also available.
Enclosures
The enclosures are NEMA1 rated and are UL Listed. They have an abundance of knockouts and most are stackable vertically and horizontally. Available in a variety of sizes, the enclosures provide many useful features. Small sizes have screw lock covers and the larger sizes are equipped with key latch doors, most of which are reversible.
Accessories
Mounting options include plastic track for snap-mounting circuit boards. One style of track is screw mounted to the back surface of any enclosure. Another style of track, AdapTrack®, snaps onto many of the most popular DIN or NEMA rails. Other accessories and replacement parts include: sub-panels, external sensors, lock assemblies, drill screws, and keys.
