How long have you been at Functional Devices?

I have been employed with Functional Devices for 10 years, currently as the Product Manager with our Lighting Division.

What made you want to work in the Product Manager-Sales position?

Previously, I had been employed as an Applications Engineer in the semiconductor industry where I worked closely with new product development, project management and focusing on the next technology. After 25 years of service in the industry, I began a new chapter of my life here at Functional Devices. Since that time, many opportunities have developed. Whether it has been working directly with our major building automation corporate accounts, or finding the next product solution and application for our lighting division, it brings me closer in line with my career goals. I enjoy it a lot.

What are some of your hobbies outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife, family and friends. During my remaining time, working with wood and home projects, along with yard work, keeps me moving forward, enjoying the final results.

What’s your favorite part of working at Functional Devices?

I would have to say the most favorable part in my position as a Product Manager over our Lighting Division would be, the day to day, year to year challenges I face. Especially, the days when looking for a solution within our lighting product offerings. Whether it be as simple as helping a customer select the correct product for their application or working towards the next product evolution, the challenges are rewarding at the end of the day.
