Functional Devices, Inc. Names New Executive Leadership

Sharpsville, IN – Functional Devices, Inc. (FDI) would like to announce the new hire of VP of Sales, Guerry Matthews and promotion of three key leaders. The announcement comes as FDI sees continued growth in our company. The strategic appointments will play a key role in supporting the company’s expanding growth.

We are investing in technology, process, and people, and have aligned the organization to reflect becoming the supplier of choice for our customers. It is with great pleasure that we announce the following:

Guerry Matthews will be joining Functional Devices, Inc. on September 14th as our new VP of Sales and Marketing. Guerry is a 30-year veteran of building automation systems, HVAC, and refrigeration. Guerry has worked as a strategic entrepreneurial leader. He has developed direct relationships with building owners, the architectural and engineering community, as well as developing distribution channels across North and South America. As a developer of distribution channels and new paths to the market, Guerry has been a key contributor in efforts to establish effective messaging, brand development and position.

David Mackey has been promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing where he will be responsible for creating and executing a new vision of production. David’s impressive mix of skills and accomplishments will be driving innovation and collaboration across the organization. Being elevated to Vice President of Manufacturing, David will continue to have visibility and authority to effectively implement change to drive efficiencies and build production capacity.

Michelle Collins has been promoted to Vice President of Supply Chain where she will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading supply chain strategies within purchasing, inventory control, and shipping. Michelle will drive the company strategy and continuously develop supplier and vendor relationships while focusing on high quality customer service through efficient inbound and outbound shipping processes.

Matt Long has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering. Matt will continue to be responsible for all Functional Devices, Inc. engineering and new product development practices. Matt will be responsible for leading the engineering team in the effort to increase SMT equipment usage. Matt will also be responsible for hardware, software, and test equipment development while maintaining Functional Devices’ industry leading quality standards.
