Current Transformers for Power Monitoring

In this Tech Tuesday, we're talking about the new Current Transformer models that can be used with the new Power monitoring device or any other applications in need of a Current Transformer.

Recently, we released a new Power Monitoring device. With the hype of that release, the Current Transformers that go along with it may not be as well known. I want to dedicate this Tech Blog post to the new Current Transformer models that can be used with the new power monitoring device or any other applications in need of a Current Transformer.

At the time of writing this blog post, we have three different models of Current Transformers to choose from:

The “25”, “50”, or “100” in the model names represents the maximum amount of current the Current Transformer can sense. The “333” represents the analog output setting. Each of these models will output a 0 to 0.333 V analog signal. That is what the Power Monitor we offer requires as an input. We can change that analog output to other values within the mV, V, or mA ranges if needed (i.e. 0-5V, 4-20mA, etc.) for other applications besides power monitoring.

These three models are split-core type models with an aperture of nearly 0.75″ in diameter. There are also many other housing sizes available, so please send in an email to Sales@FunctionalDevices.com or Support@FunctionalDevices.com or even give us a call to inquire about the other options we have available.

We would be happy to be your supplier of all things current-sensing related. Thank you for giving Functional Devices a chance! If you would have any other technical questions or concerns, be sure to send us a message or give us a call. We are happy to help!
