RIB UL924 Emergency Power Inverters

DOWNLOAD SELECTION GUIDE

RIB Lighting Controls offers a full line of Inverters in three series: Micro, Mini, and Midsize. These UL924 Listed inverters, with their included battery, can provide power to emergency lighting in the event of normal power loss. All three series offer a wide range of features, which include the following:

  • UL924 Listed
  • 120 or 277 VAC input/output
  • True sinusoidal output power
  • “Soft Start” reduces inrush current
  • ON, OFF, or Switched load output
  • Local test switch’

Micro Inverter Series

Micro Series inverter systems are designed to provide sinusoidal AC emergency power to connected incandescent, Fluorescent or LED. Surface, recessed or ceiling T-Grid mount models are designed for easy installation either on, or near, controlled models support Normally-ON, Normally-OFF, switched operation or any combination thereof.

Mini Inverter Series

Mini Series electrical inverter systems are for powering up to 220W/250VA of incandescent, lighting loads. Pulse width modulated (PWM) output design provides clean, 60 Hz. sinusoidal emergency power to loads. Models are available for surface, recessed or T-Grid mounting as required.

Midsize Inverter Series

Midsize Series electrical inverter systems are for powering 375 up to 600 watts of incandescent, fluorescent, induction or LED lighting loads. Pulse width modulated (PWM) output design provides clean 60 Hz. sinusoidal emergency power to loads. All models are design for fast, easy wall mounting.

Self-Testing & Self-Diagnostic (SDT)

The self-testing and self-diagnostic (SDT) options are offered in all three series of UL924 Emergency Power Inverters. This feature is becoming increasingly more important to architects, engineers, and building owners as they become aware of its tremendous value-added functions and safety-assuring technology. UL Listed to meet NFPA 101 for self-testing and self-diagnostic requirements.

The self-diagnostic is factory pre-set and features the following:

  • Monitoring of battery, battery charger, and connected loads
  • Self-testing and a 30-second battery discharge once every 30 days after normal utility power has been supplied for a minimum of 48 hours
  • Self-testing and a 30-minute battery discharge once every 180 days after normal utility power has been supplied for a minimum of 48 hours
  • Self-testing and a 90-minute battery discharge once every 365 days after normal utility power has been supplied for a minimum of 48 hours

Inverter Enclosures

The Midsize Inverter Series comes in a surface mount enclosure, and the Micro and Mini Inverter Series offer options for surface mounting, recess mounting, or T-Grid mounting. All units and included batteries come with a 3-year warranty. All models we offer are UL Listed for use in damp locations, and all T-Grid mountable models are plenum rated to UL2043. There are also models certified to the California Energy Commission (CEC) under Title 20 Regulations.
